Mike Matheou

Lovells LLP

Mike is a partner in Lovells' project finance unit. His focus has been on infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships across a range of sectors including some of the landmark PPP transactions, such as the London Underground PPP.

Mike's PPP work for private sector bidders, financial institutions and Government has spanned most sectors where this technique is used to provide infrastructure finance including transport (rail and light rail schemes, DBFO roads, satellite navigation), Government accommodation, healthcare, defence and education including advising on BSF deals.

Mike has written numerous articles on project finance and PPPs and contributed three key chapters to the substantial Butterworths PFI Manual. He is recognised as a 'Leading Individual' in the PFI category by Legal 500 2009 and in Band 1 for PFI/PPP by Chambers UK 2010.
