John Rutherford

Head of Project Finance

BBVA

John Rutherford is BBVA's head of project finance for Europe with responsibility for the Bank's structured and project finance teams in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Milan. He has 20-years of project finance experience, principally in energy and infrastructure. He joined BBVA in 1997 and was formerly co-head of Schroder's project finance team for Latin America, based in London and Bogota.

John holds a Material Science Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar (Caracas) and a MBA from the University of Michigan.
