Richard Abadie

Richard is a partner in our UK Corporate Finance business. He is on the CF management team in his capacity as head of our infrastructure industry teams. He also leads our global infrastructure finance and PPP group. He is also on the global leadership teams for our Government and Capital Projects & Infrastructure groups. Richard over 13 years experience working in the infrastructure sector originally in a special projects role at a listed South African contractor, Group Five, as a board director of it majority owned subsidiary Intertoll, then running PwC's South African infrastructure finance business before moving to the team in the UK in 2001. He also spent 2 years on secondment into the UK Treasury leading its PPP team. Richard has worked across Europe, North America and South Africa in his infrastructure career. His recent experience includes closing the M80 Scotland road deal, advising Ofwat on financing of water infrastructure, supporting a team in Australia advising on the world's largest desalination PPP project. He will also be partnering the team advising Laing on the A8 road in Germany. He is an accountant by training as well as a CFA.
