Jean Bensaid

Chief Executive Officer

CDC Infrastructure

Jean Bensaid, 48, is Chief Executive Officer of CDC Infrastructure. Previously assistant director of the finance and strategy division of the Caisse des Depots (since 2004), responsible for monitoring subsidiaries and strategic holdings, he built up the Caisse des Depots' portfolio of infrastructure assets, making some 10 acquisitions for a total value of Eur2.5 billion, including the acquisitions in the Viaduc de Millau, Sanef, Saur, SecheEnvironnement and Eutelsat. He is a member of the board of directors of the last four companies listed. In the course of his career, he was successively senior economist with INSEE and with the division of forecasting of the Ministry of Finance, financial attache with the French Embassy in Washington, advisor for macroeconomic and taxation policies to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, and assistant director at the general directorate of the treasury and economic policy. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan and ENSAE. He is a Chevalier of the Ordre National du Merite.
