Tobias joined UBS in 1999 and is an Executive Director in UBS' Global Infrastructure Group in London. As a member of the Infrastructure team, Tobias is currently advising London & Continental Railways (LCR) in relation to the sale of High Speed 1 and the incorporation of Eurostar. In the past, he has among other mandates advised LCR on its successful defence in 2006 as well as the financing of the GBP5.8bn High Speed 1 project (including the groundbreaking GBP1.25bn track access charge securitisation), Deutsche Bahn in relation to its planned IPO, BAA on its GBP15.9bn sale to Ferrovial, Tube Lines on the GBP2.1bn refinancing of its London Underground concession, MTRC on its HK$56.5bn merger with KCRC in Hong Kong, Schiphol Airport in relation to its planned privatisation, the UK Department for Transport in relation to the restructuring of Metronet (the London Underground PPP concessionaire) and the GBP15bn Crossrail project, and the German and Danish governments in relation to the financing of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link project.
